Back-to-back champions! The Vandals added another remarkable chapter to their team's short history in 2026, winning their
second straight DC Wood Summer Championship. Following a respectable 14-7-3 regular season, the team caught fire in the postseason
going 7-1, and capping the run with a Championship Series sweep. B. Kane took home Championship Series MVP honors, while
several other Vandals secured DC Wood awards with A. Orfield earning a Gold Glove, A. Zargurpur being named Sportsman of the Year, and J. Bolden winning
Manager of the Year.
After securing their first fall championship, the Vandals looked to bring that success into the 2025 summer season.
Determined from day one, the team stormed through the schedule to finish with an impressive
26-4 record, closing the year on a remarkable 18-game winning streak, including a 7-game sweep through the
playoffs. Several Vandals players secured DC Wood accolades with A. Orfield winning League MVP, W. Pope and
J. Sara winning Championship Series MVPs, and J. Sara also winning a Gold Glove.
Eager to bounce back after falling just short in the summer, the Vandals joined forces with the Alexandria A's and the Senators Baseball Club
for the fall season. Once again, the Vandals found themselves in a familiar position: facing off in the
championship, this time against a combined team of the Arlington Mallards and Los Washington Bison. With
standout performances on the mound from N. Hammond and A. Vargas, the Vandals swept the series and secured their first fall championship.
The DMV Vandals officially debuted in 2024, continuing a proud tradition that began in 2004 as the Falls Church Barons.
After two decades of success, including seven DC Wood Summer Championships in the previous ten seasons, the organization
embraced a new identity while maintaining its championship culture. In their inaugural season as the Vandals, the team posted an
impressive 25-7-2 record, but ultimately fell short in the championship series after a hard-fought battle against the Arlington Mallards.
